Theresa Van Spankeren lives in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois with her husband. When she isn't writing she enjoys hiking and swimming, and also loves checking out local haunted places. Some of her favorite shows over the years has included The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Witch Hunter Robin.

She has published several novels in the War of Destiny series with more to come. She has been influenced by authors among the lines of   Christopher Pike, Karen Robards, L.J. Smith,  and Stephen King.
